▪️Job Title: Application Development Department Head
▪️Location: Bengaluru, India
▪️Job Responsibilities:
· Build up engineering team and maintain a level of team talent through recruiting, training, coaching, monitoring, and appraising the performance
· Set standards and guidelines for software design, implementation, and testing. Drive improvements driven by metrics
· Support the continuous improvements of the software development process and tool chains to improve team effectiveness and maturity of software development
· Plan, execute, and mange automotive application projects based on the product development pipeline while meeting software quality standards
· Improve team performance through the research and the introduction of new technologies and development methods
· Analyze information and provide recommendations to address and resolve business and technical issues. Actively participate in team discussions, provide guidance and expert opinion on the subject matter
· Manage resource levels using both internal and external resources to complete the planned workload
· Actively seeks and removes impediments to team success regardless of where they originate
· Contribute creatively to the product development pipeline
▪️Qualifications:
· 5+ years of experience in software engineering management
· 10+ years experience in developing automotive software applications
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science
· Expertise in Android application development and know clean architecture and MVC/MVP/MVVM well
· Experience in Android system development and know Android system architecture and key components like system UI and settings well
· Familiar with DevOps principles and the operations of CI/CD pipeline
· Good knowledge on SW Architectures, ASPICE, Safety – ASIL basics and experience in ASPICE
· Experience in Agile development frameworks, tools and techniques
· Strong communication and problem-solving skills, comfortable with presenting.
· Skilled in balancing risk with time-to-market objectives
